Accident on Noi Bai-Lao Cai highway leaves 3 people injured

NDO - At around 1:00 p.m. on April 24, at Km 154+900 (in Van Yen district, Yen Bai province) on the Noi Bai-Lao Cai expressway, a traffic accident occurred in which 4 cars collided in a "stacking" style, injuring 3 people.

At the scene, the accident involved 4 vehicles, including a truck with license plate 49H-01357, a passenger car with license plate 29H-918.19, a passenger car with license plate 29K-032.50, and a tractor with license plate 34E-008.41. The vehicles were "converging" from Noi Bai to Lao Cai , when the vehicles were stopped by the contractor who was constructing asphalt pavement to renovate the road surface, with instructions to limit speed, on a highway without a hard median strip.

The cars had to stop for a long time due to the accident.

The cause of the incident is being investigated and clarified by Team 1, Room 6, Department C08.

Immediately after the accident, Operation Team No. 1 (VECS) approached the scene, coordinated with authorities to take the injured to the emergency room, and regulated traffic. By 3:30 p.m., traffic on the entire route was temporarily restored.
