In his first start for the MU first team, Fredricson was placed on the left, next to Victor Lindelof in the center of a three-man defense. The 20-year-old was one of five major changes Amorim made, following the dramatic 5-4 win over Lyon in the second leg of the Europa League quarter-finals on April 18.

In the 90 minutes at Old Trafford, Fredricson played quite well. The 20-year-old player made 4 clearances, 1 interception and 4 successful tackles. Notably, Fredricson achieved a pass accuracy rate of 93%, won 7/8 aerial duels and 5/7 duels.

After the match, Amorim had special praise for Fredricson's performance: "He is calm, humble and always extremely focused in every training session with the first team. Fredricson is very good with his feet, and this is the ideal time for him to have a chance."
