Giving 257 gifts to poor and near-poor households

BTO - Responding to Humanitarian Month 2023, Tan Thuan commune, Ham Thuan Nam district has just coordinated with the district Red Cross Society and benefactors to present 200 gifts to poor and near-poor households in the locality.

Each gift worth about 400,000 VND includes: 10 kg of rice, 1 box of instant noodles and an envelope of cash supported by the volunteer group Ms. Thuy ( Ho Chi Minh City) and Venerable Thich Khong Canh, abbot of Binh Son Pagoda (Ham My) to give to the poor.

On behalf of the local government, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huy - Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee expressed his gratitude and acknowledged the golden hearts of the benefactors. At the same time, he hoped that in the coming time, he would continue to receive the attention and support of the benefactors to work with the locality to effectively carry out social security activities, helping the poor and people in difficult circumstances to have more conditions to rise up and stabilize their lives.

Previously, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of La Gi town, together with the Elderly Association and the Red Cross Society of the town, organized the awarding of 57 gifts, each worth from 400,000 to 500,000 VND, taken from the town's "For the Poor" Fund to the elderly in poor and near-poor households living alone in the area.
