Giving 600 free swimming tickets to disadvantaged children in Cam Khe district

Kicking off the peak of drowning prevention for children in the summer of 2025, the People's Committee of Van Ban commune, Cam Khe district, in coordination with the district police force and local units and philanthropists, donated 600 free swimming tickets to disadvantaged children in the area.

Disseminate skills to respond to drowning at swimming pools in Van Ban commune, Cam Khe district.

At the launching ceremony of “Swimming for the whole population to prevent drowning”, delegates, parents and students were informed about the current situation and risks of drowning, especially for children; were instructed in practicing some basic drowning response skills for those who can swim and those who cannot swim; and how to give first aid to drowning victims. In addition, the organizing committee organized a swimming competition for students from primary to high school age.

Drowning has long been a concern for the whole society every summer. Drowning can happen to people of all ages, especially school-age children. This activity is not only a useful and interesting playground for students but also contributes to sounding the alarm, minimizing casualties caused by drowning.
