The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has asked airlines to coordinate with Phu Cat Airport to plan to increase flights, especially during the night time - when the airport still has excess capacity.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has just sent a document to domestic airlines, requesting consideration of increasing the frequency of night flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Binh Dinh during the peak summer season of 2025.
This move is to meet the demand for air transport serving the tourist season and a series of cultural, sports and tourism events held in Binh Dinh province from June to September 2025.
Increase night flights
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has asked airlines to coordinate with Phu Cat Airport to plan to increase flights, especially during the night time - when the airport still has excess capacity.
Previously, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province sent a document to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, proposing to soon add night flights connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with Phu Cat Airport, in order to create favorable conditions for tourists and develop local tourism .
In the summer of 2025, Binh Dinh plans to organize a series of large-scale, prominent events such as: VnExpress Marathon Quy Nhon 2025; Miss and Mister World Fitness Supermodel Contest; 34th National Traditional Martial Arts Championship; National 3x3 Youth Basketball Championship, along with many national and international cultural and sports programs.
Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee also proposed that the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam consider maintaining night flights until the end of 2025, to serve the travel needs of people and tourists, and at the same time create momentum for local tourism development.
