Tay Bac Group transfers part of Tien Giang Trade and Service Center Project to AEON Vietnam

The signing ceremony between Tay Bac Group and AEON Vietnam took place after the People's Committee of Tien Giang province decided to approve allowing Tay Bac Group, the investor of the Tien Giang Provincial Trade and Service Center Project (located in Tien Giang Provincial Central Square), to transfer part of the project to AEON Vietnam according to Decision 1059/QD-UBND dated April 29, 2025 of the People's Committee of Tien Giang province.

The transferred project is located in Dao Thanh commune, My Tho city, Tien Giang province, with a land use scale of more than 20,000 ^m2 with the function of a commercial area, with a total expected investment capital of 1,155 billion VND.

Previously, in September 2024, the People's Committee of Tien Giang province approved the adjustment of the investment policy of the Tien Giang Provincial Trade and Service Center Project (located in the Central Square of Tien Giang province) which was approved in the Decision on approving the investment policy No. 638/QD-UBND approved by the Provincial People's Committee on April 15, 2024. Accordingly, the project has a total area of over 30,000 ^m2 , including residential land and commercial land. By December 2024, the People's Committee of Tien Giang province had issued a decision to recognize the results of the auction of land use rights to implement the project for Tay Bac Group.

With the transfer of part of the project to AEON Vietnam, up to now, this is the first commercial center project under the AEON brand invested in Tien Giang province. It is expected that the AEON commercial center in My Tho city will be deployed from August 2025 and completed and put into operation from the fourth quarter of 2026.

For the rest of the project, Tay Bac Group plans to build a Japanese-style commercial area with 73 commercial townhouses and a central park to create a green, fresh space for local people, while contributing to the synchronization of the landscape of the Central Square area of Tien Giang province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dieu, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee congratulated Tay Bac Group and AEON Vietnam for completing the necessary steps to implement the project. Next, the two enterprises need to coordinate closely and focus on implementing the project on schedule. The Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee committed to supporting the necessary procedures to soon put the project into operation.

On the side of Tay Bac Group, Mr. Vu The Truong, Chairman of the Group, said that Tay Bac Group has invested in Tien Giang province since 2014 and hopes to have more opportunities to implement projects here. With projects such as the Tien Giang Provincial Trade and Service Center (located in the Tien Giang Provincial Central Square), the Group hopes to contribute more to the socio -economic development of the province, create more jobs for people and contribute to building the urban appearance of Tien Giang province to be more and more spacious and beautiful.

On behalf of AEON Vietnam, Mr. Hagino Tatsuya, Senior Director of Project Development and Construction, expressed his gratitude for the support of Tien Giang provincial authorities during the project implementation process; at the same time, he believed that the cooperation between AEON Vietnam and Tay Bac Group would bring a multi-utility project that meets the needs of local people.
