On the afternoon of July 21, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Information and Communications held a training conference on policies and laws on protecting the country's borders for reporters and editors of central and local newspapers and radio stations.

The conference aims to continue to raise awareness and understanding of legal policies and professional skills in legal dissemination and education and writing skills for reporters, editors and reporters working in legal dissemination and education .
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Ho Hong Hai, Deputy Director of the Department of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Information and Communications, said that Resolution 33-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the National Border Protection Strategy has determined that "Managing and protecting the national border is an important and regular task of the entire Party, the entire people, the entire army and the entire political system; relying on the people, taking the people as the root, "each border resident is a living milestone".

In order to have a basis to continue to innovate and improve information and propaganda work, foreign information on building a peaceful, friendly, cooperative and developed national border, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 1191/QD-TTg approving the objectives, tasks, solutions to innovate and improve the capacity of information and propaganda work and foreign information to contribute to building a peaceful, friendly, cooperative and developed border. Implementing the above Decision of the Government, the Ministry of Information and Communications issued Decision No. 1551/QD-BTTTT promulgating the Plan to implement the specific contents of Decision No. 1191.

“Currently and in the coming time, the task of protecting the Fatherland in general, protecting the national border and border protection in particular poses increasingly high, heavy, difficult and complicated requirements. In order to contribute to the successful implementation of the Politburo's Resolution on the National Border Protection Strategy, the Ministry of Information and Communications recognizes the need to pay special attention to the dissemination of policies and laws on the protection of the national border, especially for those who are officials working in foreign information, journalists, reporters and editors - those who play an important role in disseminating laws and policies through their work, articles and reports to spread to all classes of people”, Deputy Director of the Legal Department Ho Hong Hai emphasized.

At the conference, delegates were informed of Vietnam's legal policies on border demarcation and marker planting; border development in the spirit of peace, friendship, cooperation and development; and settlement of border and territorial issues.
At the same time, they are trained in propaganda and dissemination of policies and laws to raise national awareness and responsibility for protecting the country's borders.

In addition, the content of the Conference also revolved around the significance and importance of resolving the land border issue between Vietnam and countries sharing a common border, of completing the construction of a clear, accurate, modern border with legal value for the development of each country and peace and stability of the region.

In addition, delegates also had access to information on the implementation of laws in border provinces in recent times; the situation of demarcation and marker planting in border provinces.

Previously, on the morning of July 21, the Ministry of Information and Communications also held a training conference on propaganda and dissemination of policies, laws and writing skills on ethnicity and religion for about 200 reporters, editors and reporters from cultural departments.
