Speaking at the opening of the training, Colonel Nguyen Van Hien, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the An Giang Provincial Military Command, requested the assigned officers to research documents, compile lesson plans, approve and organize training sessions with correct content, time, safety, and to achieve the set goals and requirements. The officers attending the training must have the correct composition and target, strictly comply with the regulations of the organizing committee, military discipline, and state laws during the training.

The training course took place over two days, August 6 and 7. The training content covered basic knowledge of border work such as general theory of national territory and borders; functions, tasks and powers of the Border Guard; procedures for handling cases in border management and protection of the Border Guard; border gate management, entry and exit control and foreign affairs of the Border Guard; crime prevention and control of the Border Guard; border reconnaissance work; Party activities, political work in border management and protection; logistics and technical work in border management and protection; historical traditions of the Border Guard.

Through training, key cadres of agencies and units of the provincial armed forces will grasp basic knowledge of border work, creating a basis for agencies and units to coordinate well in implementing Party regulations and State laws on border work in 2025 and the following years.
