The units coordinate with the Provincial Center for Disease Control to monitor, detect early and promptly handle suspected cases of respiratory infections related to poultry, preventing the spread of disease in the community.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Toan, Department of Animal Husbandry, Veterinary and Fisheries, said: The Department proactively monitors, collects samples for early detection and thoroughly handles outbreaks of avian influenza, promptly notifies the health sector. At the same time, instructs livestock owners to strictly implement biosafety and disease prevention; strengthens inspection and supervision of poultry trading and transportation, strictly handles cases of smuggling and unknown origin; checks food hygiene and safety at processing and consumption facilities.
