According to the initial draw results, Vietnam's No. 1 tennis player Nguyen Thuy Linh (ranked 27th in the world ) will face No. 6 seed Ratchanok Intanon (Thailand, ranked 11th in the world) in the first round of the women's singles. However, at the last minute, two tennis players, Chen Yufei (China, ranked 8th in the world) and Busanan Ongbamrungphan (Thailand, ranked 10th in the world), withdrew, so the organizers made appropriate changes. Accordingly, Nguyen Thuy Linh will have a new opponent in the first round, Pusarla Venkata Sindhu (India, ranked 16th in the world).
