On December 14, the AVP website reported that, according to reports from Ukrainian monitoring channels, an attack using Kinzhal hypersonic missiles was carried out on the airport in Starokonstantinov (Khmelnitsky region). It should be noted that an airstrike alert was sounded after a missile hit one of the objects at the airport. At the moment, the details and damage caused by the airstrike have not been disclosed.
According to Ukrainian sources, the launch was carried out from the Lipetsk region, however no official statement on this matter has been made.
At the Starokonstantinov airfield, according to available data, Su-24M military aircraft carrying Storm Shadow/SCALP cruise missiles were deployed. There is also information that there are several MiG-29 or Su-27 fighters at the airfield.
Officially, the Russian Ministry of Defense has not yet commented on the information provided by Ukraine.
Also on December 14, the AVP website reported on the Russian military offensive in the Soledar region. Accordingly, at the junction of Bakhmut (Artemovsky) and Seversky directions, units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation began offensive operations.
Ukrainian sources reported that while the Ukrainian army is engaged in defense in the direction of Liman and the Bakhmut area, the Russian army is preparing for an offensive in the area between the Bakhmutka and Vasyukovka rivers, northwest of the city of Soledar of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic.
Russian troops are attacking Ukrainian positions using a bridgehead outside the city of Soledar. Russian aviation and artillery fire in the area has increased significantly. Attack attempts by the Russian Armed Forces are aimed at the settlements of Fedorovka and Vasyukovka from the villages of Sacco and Vanzetti.
During the attack, the Russian army repelled Ukrainian units of the 30th and 54th mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. These forces retreated into forested redoubts and the surrounding area.
The Russian offensive is aimed at breaking through the front in this area to advance further and possibly encircle the Ukrainian group in the city of Seversk in Donbass.
On many fronts, fighting is still fierce.
