The first 3D handheld game console with eye tracking technology
According to ITHome, Tencent has just partnered with Intel to develop a handheld game console called “3D One”. This is the world ’s first device to integrate glasses-free 3D display technology, along with an advanced processor from Intel and a series of high-end features.
Tencent 3D One uses the Intel Lunar Lake Core Ultra 7 258V SC processor, designed specifically for mobile devices with 8 cores and 8 threads. 32 GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1 TB SSD help the device meet the needs of gaming and multitasking.
The teaser image of Tencent “3D One” shows that it is a handheld game console with a fairly large size and a detachable controller.
The 3D One is notable for its glasses-free 3D display, which relies on eye tracking technology to create visual effects. The large 11-inch screen with 2.5K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate provides specifications that meet the needs of high-quality image display.
The device is designed as a 2-in-1, integrating a detachable handle mechanism, allowing flexible conversion between tablet and handheld game console modes. The 100W battery provides continuous operation, suitable for applications requiring high performance.
In terms of appearance, the 3D One has a similar design to products like the ASUS ROG Ally X, showing its aim to compete in the high-end segment. However, specific information about the price and release date has not been announced yet, although advanced features can push the price of the device to a high level.
In addition to Tencent, Microsoft and Sony are also actively participating in the handheld gaming market with initiatives related to cloud gaming services and hardware devices. The entry of big names in this industry shows the strong growth potential of the segment, promising to bring increasingly diverse and high-quality entertainment experiences to users.
