Thailand makes a dramatic comeback, defeats China: Wins ticket to Women's Futsal World Cup

Just a few seconds later, the home team continued to score a second goal to take the lead against Thailand for the first time in this match. Goalkeeper Liu Dan Ping (China) advanced more than half the field and unexpectedly fired a long-range shot, forcing the Thai goalkeeper to push the ball away, before Zhang Hui Min swooped in to score a tricky rebound to raise the score to 2-1 for the Chinese women's futsal team.

In the last minute of the first half, the Thai goalkeeper committed a foul blocking a ball that could have led to a goal and received a direct red card.

Host China scored 2 goals within 1 minute of the ball rolling, coming back to lead 2-1 against Thailand before the match entered halftime.

Conceding a goal, the Thai women's futsal team tried to attack to find an equalizer. In the 26th minute, the Thai team was awarded a penalty when a Chinese player handled the ball in the penalty area. Jenjira Bubpha did not miss a good opportunity to score, once again bringing the match back to the starting line. The score was 2-2.

Excited after the equalizer, the Thai futsal team continued to advance to complete a spectacular comeback against the host China. In the 32nd minute, after a quick attack on the left wing, Arriya Saetoen (Thailand) fired a shot from a narrow angle, forcing captain Zhang Hui Min (China) to block it and accidentally shake the home team's net. The Thai futsal team won 3-2 against China.

The 2025 Asian Women's Futsal Championship is currently taking place, which is also the qualifying round for the 2025 Women's Futsal World Cup. Accordingly, the three teams with the best results in the continental tournament (champion, runner-up, third place) will participate in the biggest playground on the planet for women's futsal. Although the Chinese women's futsal team lost in the semi-finals, they still have one more chance. If they win the third-place match, the Chinese girls will get a ticket to the 2025 Women's Futsal World Cup.

In the other semi-final, the Japanese women's futsal team beat Iran 3-2. Japan advanced to the Asian final against Thailand. At the same time, the cherry blossom team also won a ticket to the 2025 Asian Women's Futsal World Cup.

In the third-place match, host China will face Iran. The winner of this match will take the remaining ticket to represent Asia at the 2025 Women's Futsal World Cup.
