Lotus color of Hang Mua
Located in Hang Mua Tourist Area, Hoa Lu City, the lotus pond is considered one of the most prominent lotus fields in Ninh Binh every summer. The lotus pond is over 1 hectare wide, mainly growing Japanese lotus (red lotus), located in the middle of the mountains, surrounded by charming scenery and ancient architecture. The brilliant lotus flowers among the green of the trees and grass are like a radiant highlight in the middle of a vivid natural picture.
Hang Mua lotus pond stretches across a swamp with an area of over 1 hectare, mainly growing Japanese lotus (red lotus). This year, in particular, the pond is decorated with water lilies, contributing to creating a more brilliant, colorful and attractive scene than ever.
According to Mr. Do Duc Hoi, in charge of Hang Mua lotus pond technology, since January, the unit has started to renovate the soil, destroy old lotus roots, and prepare for the new crop. The care process is carried out methodically, from fertilizing, preventing pests and diseases to ensuring aesthetics to serve tourists. During peak season, the pond welcomes 1,500 - 2,000 visitors per day, with some days the number of visitors doubling. The pressure is great, but it is also the motivation for the staff to take better care of the flowers every day, ensuring the beauty of the lotus pond to serve tourists.
In recent years, lotus has been grown a lot by the people of Hoa Lu city, especially in areas near tourist attractions such as Tam Coc - Bich Dong, Thung Nham, Thung Nang..., becoming a highlight attracting tourists.
Tourist Hoang Thuy Linh ( Hanoi ) shared that she returns to Ninh Binh every year to admire the lotus because the peaceful and pure beauty of the lotus pond makes people feel at ease. Taking photos with lotus is not only to preserve memories but also to experience peace in the middle of cool green nature.
