Tam Trinh road expansion will be completed in June 2026.

Tam Trinh route, after being expanded to 40m, is expected to reduce traffic pressure on the main routes of the southern gateway of the capital.

Talking to Giao Thong Newspaper, Mr. Vu Duc Tuan, representative of the Hoang Mai District Construction Investment Project Management Board, said: Since the beginning of August, the contractor has started to deploy 4 construction projects to expand Tam Trinh Street in locations where the ground is cleared.

The riverside side that is not blocked by land is being urgently deployed by the contractor, speeding up progress.

However, according to Mr. Tuan, taking advantage of the favorable weather, the unit mobilized machinery and human resources to construct the road. However, only 1/3 of the site has been handed over, divided into 4 sections, causing many difficulties in construction.

Mr. Vu Duc Tuan added that the route is expected to be completed and put into use in June 2026. The project is completed to meet traffic development, improve the capacity of the route, contribute to promoting the socio-economic development of Hoang Mai district and the whole city of Hanoi. At the same time, it contributes to improving the environmental landscape, creating a civilized and modern street, gradually implementing the plan to develop the capital's transport infrastructure.

According to Giao Thong Newspaper, the Tam Trinh Road construction project was approved for investment by the Hanoi People's Committee in 2012, with a total cost of 2,066 billion VND, with the Construction Investment Project Management Board as the investor.

The invested construction route is about 3.5km long, the starting point connects with Minh Khai Street, the end point intersects with Ring Road 3. The route will be expanded with a cross-section of 40m.

The project started in 2016 and was expected to be completed after 3 years, but encountered difficulties in site clearance and was delayed.

By December 2023, the Hanoi People's Committee decided to adjust the project, increasing the investment capital to VND 3,354 billion, an increase of VND 1,287 billion. At the same time, the project implementation period was also adjusted from 2016 to 2026.

The Tam Trinh road construction project has a total land acquisition area (after boundary adjustment) of about 54,009 square meters, involving about 1,590 households and 20 organizations, located in the area of ​​3 wards Mai Dong, Hoang Van Thu and Yen So.

Regarding the progress of site clearance, Hoang Mai district has so far approved all plans of the organizations. Most of the organizations have received money and handed over the site for the project.

Hoang Mai District strives to complete the approval of compensation, support, and resettlement plans when the State reclaims land to implement the Tam Trinh road construction project by the end of 2024 (3 months later than the district's plan).

Currently, there are 4 locations on Tam Trinh route with clean land with a length of about 800m for the contractor to carry out construction of some items of the project.
