Xuan Huong Lake scenic spot has its embankment eroded.

After 10 years of use, some sections of the embankment at Xuan Huong Lake have been damaged and degraded.

On March 22, Mr. Nguyen Tan Hy, Director of the Center for Investment Management and Exploitation of Da Lat Irrigation Works (Da Lat City, Lam Dong ), said that in 2010, the Xuan Huong Lake project was invested in dredging and repairing all items, however, the embankment around the lake was only repaired at the top and the embankment foot was kept intact. Up to now, after 10 years of use, some embankment sections have been damaged and degraded. Through inspection and survey by the center, there are more than 100 large and small locations on the embankment around the lake with a total length of more than 700 m, including sections with landslides at both the foot and the embankment roof. Currently, the center has submitted a document to the People's Committee of Da Lat City requesting investment in repairing the embankment at Xuan Huong Lake.

Xuan Huong Lake is eroded, dangerous for tourists

Xuan Huong Lake has a circumference of about 5 km, a water surface area of ​​43 hectares, and a capacity of 1.1 million m3. The lake is located right in the center of Da Lat City and is known as the heart of the city.

In 1989, Xuan Huong Lake was recognized as a national scenic relic by the Ministry of Culture. The area around Xuan Huong Lake is also a popular place for tourists to visit, stroll, and take souvenir photos when coming to Da Lat City.
