On the afternoon of June 11, General To Lam, Minister of Public Security, signed a decision to posthumously promote the ranks of four commune police officers and soldiers who died in the attack on the commune police headquarters in Dak Lak province.

Specifically, Minister To Lam decided to posthumously promote the rank from Captain to Major for comrade Hoang Trung (born in 1981, from Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province, police officer of Ea Ktur commune, Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak province); posthumously promote the rank from Senior Lieutenant to Captain for comrade Nguyen Dang Nhan (born in 1994, from Yen Thanh district, Nghe An province, police officer of Ea Ktur commune, Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak province).

Posthumously promote the rank from Captain to Major for comrade Tran Quoc Thang (born in 1989, from Thach Ha district, Ha Tinh , police officer of Ea Tieu commune, Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak province); posthumously promote the rank from Senior Lieutenant to Captain for comrade Ha Tuan Anh (born in 1991, from Trieu Son district, Thanh Hoa province, police officer of Ea Tieu commune, Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak province).

Ea Tieu Commune Headquarters

On the same afternoon, Minister To Lam, Chairman of the People's Police Comradeship Fund Management Board, also signed a decision to support 100 million VND/family for the families of 4 comrades of the Cu Kuin District Police, Dak Lak Province who died while performing their duties; support 50 million VND/comrade for 2 comrades of the Cu Kuin District Police who were injured while performing their duties, Senior Lieutenant Dam Dinh Bop (born in 1993), Deputy Chief of Ea Ktur Commune Police and Captain Le Kien Cuong (born in 1988), an officer of Ea Ktur Commune Police.

Previously, as reported by SGGP Newspaper, early in the morning of the same day, Dak Lak Provincial Police reported to the Ministry of Public Security about the incident in which a group of unknown individuals attacked the police headquarters of two communes, Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur, killing and injuring a number of commune police officers, commune officials, and residents.

Immediately afterwards, the Ministry of Public Security directed the Dak Lak Provincial Police and professional units to deploy to arrest the group of subjects causing the incident. During the day, the Ministry of Public Security issued a notice asking people in Cu Kuin district and neighboring areas to remain calm, not panic, and follow the requests of local authorities and functional forces.
