Mr. Nguyen Luong Tri, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director of Quang Tho II Agricultural Cooperative, said: In addition to providing input services, the Cooperative has linked production with companies in the city to organize commercial rice production, bringing in quite high incomes for members. On average, each year the Cooperative links to produce 30 hectares of rice in the direction of goods. In particular, the Cooperative has provided services of purchasing, processing and consuming pennywort for local people. This approach has contributed to promoting the development of area and income of pennywort growing households. Currently, the brand "Quang Tho pennywort" has been raised to a higher level and is known in many places.
Also a bright spot in the collective economy, Loc Thuy Cajeput Oil Cooperative, Loc Thuy Commune, Phu Loc District with 30 members has been and is a "midwife" for member households and farmers here. Loc Thuy Cajeput Oil Cooperative has built a brand and gained a foothold in the market when its designs are constantly innovated and modernized, with many diverse products. In addition to the main product of cajeput essential oil cooked and distilled from native cajeput trees, the Cooperative has researched and launched other products, which have been well received by the market such as cajeput buds, massage essential oils...
Ms. Mai Thi Thuy Van, Director of Loc Thuy Cajeput Oil Cooperative, said: Cajeput oil producers join together to build brands and expand the market for product consumption. When the cooperative's products are known and accepted by the market, the cooperative promotes product consumption on e-commerce platforms and sells on social networking sites. The application of digital transformation in the process of promoting and introducing products has contributed to increasing sales and minimizing intermediary costs. Thanks to that, the cooperative has created jobs and increased income for members; at the same time, contributing to promoting economic development for households growing fuel cajeput and producing cajeput essential oil in the locality.
"Support" from the Cooperative Alliance
The contributions of cooperatives to the socio-economic development of the locality are undeniable. However, in order for cooperatives to develop more sustainably and truly become one of the important economic components, human resource training, technology transfer, and digital transformation are among the things that need to be done immediately and effectively.
That is also the reason why the City Cooperative Union organized 11 training courses for managers, professionals, and members of cooperatives with many practical contents, attracting 439 participants. In addition, the Cooperative Union also connected with the University of Economics - Hue University to create conditions for 23 cooperative officials to study business administration to improve their management and operation capacity.
The Cooperative Alliance is also a bridge for cooperatives to access preferential policy groups supporting the development of local collective economies; advise cooperatives on loan applications; build product labels and brands; carry out procedures to obtain VietGAP certificates and traceability stamps for products, etc.
The "Cooperative Economic Platform" and the showroom introducing and promoting cooperative products have clearly demonstrated their effectiveness in supporting cooperative groups, cooperatives, production households and enterprises in the city to promote and consume their products. Accordingly, 177 products have been introduced on the "Cooperative Economic Platform" and 56 products of ethnic minority and mountainous areas on the "Online Market for Ethnic Minority Areas". In addition, the Cooperative Union also introduces and organizes for cooperatives to participate in fairs, display and introduce products at festival activities in the area and some other provinces and cities. At the same time, hand over supporting equipment for 5 online product market transaction points to Hue Information Technology Cooperative, A Luoi Safe Agricultural Products Production and Trading Cooperative, Azakooh Green Brocade Cooperative, A So Farmers Cooperative and Kazan Community Tourism Cooperative under the project "Building and maintaining online product markets in ethnic minority and mountainous areas".
