Thanh Hoa won all three most important awards including Club, Coach and Best Player of April V-League 2023.
The awards in April were voted on based on the results of four rounds from five to eight. Thanh Hoa won three and drew one, including a 1-0 win over strong opponent Binh Dinh, a 4-1 win over Ha Tinh and a 5-3 win over Ho Chi Minh City.
After the break to make way for SEA Games 32, Thanh Hoa visited HAGL in round 8 and drew 2-2. No team has a better record than the Thanh team. Currently, the team is at the top of the table with 18 points after eight rounds and an unbeaten record of five wins and three draws.

With that success, coach Velizar Popov won the title of best coach. The Bulgarian coach helped improve the physical strength of Thanh Hoa players, thereby increasing their pressing ability. Mr. Popov was also highly appreciated for his discipline and ability to motivate the spirit. Striker Paulo Conrado, with three goals, won the award for best player, surpassing the equally impressive performance of teammate Bruno Cunha.
The best goal of the month belongs to Hanoi Police Club midfielder Nguyen Trong Long in the 5-3 win over Ho Chi Minh City on May 21. In the 43rd minute, Trong Long shot from about 22m, sending the ball so hard that goalkeeper Thanh Thang had no time to react.
In the first monthly awards of the 2023 season, the Best Club and Coach award went to Binh Dinh Club and Coach Nguyen Duc Thang. Meanwhile, striker Nguyen Van Quyet won the Best Player award.
Tomorrow, May 26, V-League 2023 will enter round 9 with matches Binh Dinh - Nam Dinh, Cong An Ha Noi - SLNA and Hai Phong - Khanh Hoa. The tournament will play until round 11 and then take a break for more than two weeks to make room for the Vietnamese team to gather according to the "FIFA days" schedule.
