On February 28, Mr. Dinh Xuan Dieu - Chairman of the People's Committee of Krong Pak district - said that a council had been established to meet, evaluate, and consider the specific responsibilities of each individual and group in the compensation case for the unemployed teacher who won the lawsuit.

Mr. Dieu added that because the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee did not agree to pay the district to compensate the 6 teachers who lost their jobs and won the lawsuit, the district had to investigate the responsibility, thereby having money to pay.

According to Mr. Dieu, Ms. Ngo Thi Minh Trinh - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Krong Pak District - is the chairwoman of the council to consider the funding source to compensate teachers. "The council will meet and evaluate according to the Law on State Compensation to get funding to pay teachers," said Mr. Dieu.

According to Mr. Dieu, there are 6 contract teachers who lost their jobs and filed lawsuits (in two cases).

The appellate court ordered Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Secondary School, Ea Kly Secondary School and the People's Committee of Krong Pak District to jointly compensate more than 2.1 billion VND (including interest) to these 6 people.

Previously, on March 13, 2023, the Department of Internal Affairs of Krong Pak district worked with the leaders of the two above schools to fulfill the obligation to compensate the teachers.

However, the compensation amount was too large, and the two schools did not have enough money to pay, so the District People's Committee submitted a request to the Dak Lak Department of Finance to request funding.

Afterwards, the Dak Lak Department of Finance affirmed that there was no basis to provide funds for the district to compensate for the wrongdoings of individuals and organizations that led to teachers losing their jobs.

Teachers lose their jobs for no reason and have to struggle to make a living.

As reported by Tuoi Tre Online , on March 9, 2018, the People's Committee of Krong Pak district issued a notice forcing 550 contract teachers in the locality to quit their jobs due to previous recruitment not following regulations, causing staffing quotas to be exceeded.

Of the more than 550 teachers who lost their jobs, since 2021, 6 teachers have sued the school and the People's Committee of Krong Pak district in court. Of these, 5 teachers had their contracts terminated illegally by Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Secondary School and won the lawsuit, with the court awarding them a total of more than 1.2 billion VND in compensation. Similarly, another teacher who used to teach at Ea Kly Secondary School was awarded more than 175 million VND in compensation.

Thus, since 2018, teachers who lost their jobs have not been compensated for nearly 6 years. Unreasonably losing their jobs, hundreds of teachers have wandered, looking for various jobs such as pig farming, welding, garment workers, etc. to make a living.
