On August 29, a leader of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee said that a decision had been made to change the names of 14 high schools under the provincial Department of Education and Training, all located in the East (formerly Phu Yen province).
Accordingly, the renaming of 14 schools will return to their original names when the work has stabilized after the merger of the two old provinces of Dak Lak and Phu Yen.
Specifically, the People's Committee of Dak Lak province changed the name of Nguyen Hue High School No. 2 to Nguyen Hue High School; Ngo Gia Tu High School No. 2 to Ngo Gia Tu High School; Nguyen Trai High School No. 2 to Nguyen Trai High School; Nguyen Truong To High School No. 2 to Nguyen Truong To High School.
Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School No. 2 became Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School; Pham Van Dong High School No. 2 became Pham Van Dong High School; Ton Duc Thang High School No. 2 became Ton Duc Thang High School; Phan Chu Trinh High School No. 2 became Phan Chu Trinh High School.
Phan Dinh Phung High School No. 2 became Phan Dinh Phung High School; Tran Phu High School No. 2 became Tran Phu High School; Nguyen Thai Binh High School No. 2 became Nguyen Thai Binh High School; Phan Boi Chau High School No. 2 became Phan Boi Chau High School; Le Hong Phong High School No. 2 became Le Hong Phong High School; Nguyen Cong Tru High School No. 2 became Nguyen Cong Tru High School.
The Provincial People's Committee requested 14 high schools to change their organization and operation names in accordance with the provisions of Circular No. 32, dated September 15, 2020 of the Minister of Education and Training promulgating the charter of junior high schools, high schools, and multi-level general schools and current legal regulations.
Explaining further about this, the leader of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee said that when the two provinces merged, there were 14 schools in the West of the province (formerly Dak Lak province) with the same name as 14 schools in the East. At that time, the Dak Lak Department of Education and Training advised the Provincial People's Committee to decide to name the above schools with number 1 (for schools in the West) and number 2 (for schools in the East).
With this decision, 14 schools with the above names in the East of Dak Lak will return to their old names. Schools with the same name in the West will have the number 1 added at the end.
