The delegation visited the high-tech melon growing model in Trang Tao hamlet, Xuan Thanh commune. The model started in 2021, with 3 farming households experimenting with a total area of 1 hectare. Up to now, Trang Tao hamlet has expanded the area of melon growing in greenhouses to 27 hectares with about 100 households investing. Farmers have applied high technology to production such as: greenhouse system, automatic water-saving irrigation system, growing melon on substrate...
The delegation also visited and surveyed Viet Rau Joint Stock Company in Phuoc Thai commune. This is a 100% Swiss-invested enterprise, investing in 8 hectares of greenhouses to grow leafy vegetables, fruit vegetables, and spices. On average, each year, the enterprise exports about 5,000 tons of vegetables of all kinds to the Swiss market. The enterprise is planning to cooperate with farmers and many other partners to expand the area of high-tech vegetable cultivation in greenhouses for export to the European market.
This enterprise is applying high-tech models such as: growing hydroponic vegetables, growing vegetables on substrates, applying automatic watering systems, growing vegetables that meet GlobalGAP standards, investing in clean water filtration systems for watering vegetables...

Developing high-tech agriculture is one of the breakthrough tasks according to the Resolution of the 11th Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025. In recent times, localities in the province have had many programs to encourage and attract investment in developing high-tech agriculture. Up to now, the whole province has had 419 high-tech agricultural models; 8 high-tech agricultural zones have been formed with a scale of nearly 1,600 hectares.
