According to the development roadmap for the 2024-2036 period, the branch is planned with a total investment of about 341 billion VND; the expected training scale is about 5,900 students, including 2,800 full-time students.
According to the 2025 enrollment information, the branch will enroll students for full-time university training with 12 majors, with a scale of nearly 500 students; opening up high-quality learning opportunities for local students and students in neighboring areas.

In addition to regular university training, the branch of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education in Binh Phuoc also plans to implement work-study programs and short-term training courses according to social needs, in order to create conditions for local and regional learners to improve their qualifications and meet the increasing demands of the regional labor market.
Previously, on March 5, 2025, a signing ceremony took place to hand over and transfer the original status of the assets, including houses, land and other assets, from Binh Phuoc College (under the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province) to Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education (under the Ministry of Education and Training) for management and use.
Ms. Tran Tuyet Minh, Vice Chairwoman of Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee, said that this handover demonstrates the province's commitment to supporting educational institutions to improve teaching quality, creating the best conditions for generations of students to develop their talents and contribute to the overall development of the province. This is also part of the province's university education system development program, aiming to improve the quality of training and scientific research.
