BSR Youth Contribute to Creative Initiative Movement, Earning an Estimated Benefit of 786 Billion VND

On January 6, 2025, the Youth Union of Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company ( BSR ) held a Conference to summarize the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement in 2024; directions and tasks for 2025. Attending the Conference were comrade Ho Thi Thu Thanh - Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of Quang Ngai Province; comrade Nguyen Huynh Trung Anh - Member of the Standing Committee of Binh Son District Youth Union. On the side of BSR Company, there were Deputy General Director Pham Minh Nghia and comrades representing the Trade Union and the BSR Veterans Association. Attending were comrades Secretaries, Deputy Secretaries, the Standing Committee, the Executive Committee of the BSR Youth Union and more than 100 typical BSR Youth Union members. Reporting at the Conference, Secretary of the BSR Youth Union Nguyen Huy Du said that currently, the BSR Youth Union has 2 grassroots Youth Unions and 9 affiliated Youth Union branches with a total of 236 union members. Under the direction and care of the Party Committee and the Company's leaders, in 2024, BSR will carry out the important political task of the 5th Overall Maintenance of the Plant. The entire Executive Committee and Youth Union of BSR will always promote their pioneering role, contributing their strength and intelligence to effectively carry out the 5th Overall Maintenance of the Plant. In addition, in production and business, BSR's youth will strive to promote their role in research and application of modern science, engineering and technology; make important contributions in proposing and applying ideas, initiatives and technical improvements to maintaining and operating Dung Quat Refinery in an absolutely safe, stable and effective manner. BSR's Youth Union members are always proactive in self-studying, improving their work handling skills and are aware of and responsible for participating in social security activities and volunteering for community life. Conference Overview BSR Youth Union Secretary Nguyen Huy Du reported on the work of the Union and youth movement in 2024; directions and tasks for 2025. Representatives of the Youth Union branches spoke at the Special Conference in the Creative Youth Movement, which is a bright spot for the Youth Union movement. In 2024, the Company recognized 140 innovation ideas and 276 successful innovations with the participation and contribution of the Vietnam Youth Union. The Company is currently reviewing and recognizing 18 solutions at the 2024 Company-level initiatives. The total value of these solutions calculated in the first year of application is estimated at VND 786 billion, 04 National STKT Competition Awards and 02 Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Awards with the contributions and implementation of the Company's Youth Union members. BSR participated in the "Innovation Program" contest launched by the Vietnam Oil and Gas Trade Union in 2024 and took the lead with 885 registered solutions and effective opportunities bringing over VND 2,000 billion to the Company. Regarding youth work projects, many youth work projects such as youth volunteer teams performing maintenance work on the Factory's equipment have contributed to saving costs for the Company. A typical example is the Movement "Youth of the Central Enterprise Sector proactively innovating to develop Enterprises": BSR Youth Union members actively contributed to technical innovation initiatives and creative products to serve the Company's production and business activities. In the recent period, many initiatives from the Youth Union members have been applied in the 5th BDTT, bringing high practical value, contributing to completing the BDTT ahead of schedule, helping to save costs, improve productivity and ensure absolutely safe and stable operation of Dung Quat Oil Refinery. Campaign "One idea, creative initiative for each youth": BSR Youth Union members registered to participate in the Emulation program "Oil and gas innovation" for the period 2024 - 2028 at the link https://doimoisangtaodaukhi.pvn.vn Youth Union members proposed hundreds of ideas and initiatives, many of which were evaluated as feasible and successfully applied in practice, contributing to improving the production and operation process of Dung Quat Oil Refinery. Currently, with 890 registered innovative products, BSR is currently in the TOP 1. Some typical initiatives have won awards at the company, group and provincial levels, affirming the creative role of BSR youth in technical innovation. BSR Youth Union members actively participate in BSR's digital transformation training courses and seminars. The IT Department organizes training to improve knowledge and skills in applying digital technology to work. Youth have made important contributions to the implementation of ERP management software, Eoffice electronic office system, and other digital tools, helping to optimize the company's operations. Adhering to the overall digital transformation implementation guidelines applied in all investment, development, management and exploitation activities of digital transformation solutions throughout the Company. BSR Youth Union has actively participated in part of BSR's enterprise digital transformation work, which is formed according to 06 pillars: Customers, Strategy, Technology, Operations, Culture, Data (according to the Index for assessing the level of digital transformation of large enterprises), bringing practical benefits and efficiency to the company's operations as well as the experience of the company's customers. Implementing the Project "Improving digital capacity for Vietnamese youth in the period of 2022 - 2030": Many union members have participated in digital capacity improvement programs, from applying the company's Microsoft Cloud 365 technology platforms in work management to searching and applying digital solutions to the company's operating processes. BSR union members have demonstrated a proactive spirit in approaching modern technology and innovating working methods towards digitizing business processes on Eoffice, evaluating and organizing the issuance of documents on the TNVN App of the Central Youth Union. Implementing the target "100% of union units apply information technology in the management, leadership, and direction of union work and youth movements at the unit" and achieving the target "100% of union members have access to digital capacity improvement activities implemented by union organizations at all levels.
