The Nova green squash growing model of member Pham Van Tuyen, Vinh Son village, Vinh Hao commune (Bac Quang) is considered a typical economic model, bringing high income. Mr. Tuyen shared: “In 2022, after studying experience, I conducted a trial planting of Nova green squash. After 1 trial planting, I realized that the climate and soil were suitable, so I planted it on the entire 1.5 ha of my family's production land. Each year, squash is harvested 3 times, my family earns over 600 million VND”. Up to now, many other families have learned from Mr. Tuyen's family's experience of growing Nova green squash, bringing in a stable income.

Starting out as a poor household in Lang Khen village, Dao Duc commune (Vi Xuyen), member Ly Van Minh was supported by the Central Youth Union with 50 million VND. After receiving the support, Minh boldly borrowed more capital from the Policy Bank under the capital source supporting young people to start businesses and develop the economy to buy breeding animals and open a small farm. Up to now, his family has a herd of 75 pigs and nearly 1,000 chickens and ducks, all of which are in a good growth stage. Mr. Minh shared: “At first, when we decided to borrow money, my family was also afraid that we would not be able to repay it, because our income was still unstable. Then, with the encouragement of the Youth Union officials, the Party Committee, the local government, and the desire and determination to escape poverty, I converted the garden into a livestock area and borrowed money to buy breeding animals. Up to now, although we still have no income, the pigs, chickens, and ducks are all growing healthily. We will try to pay off the debt soon, not become a burden, and hope to contribute a small part to the socio-economic development of the locality.”
It is known that the whole province currently has over 90 young enterprises, nearly 100 cooperatives, over 500 business households, start-up models owned by union members and young people (YUs) operating in many fields such as: Construction, production, services, tourism , trade, import and export, agriculture - forestry - industry... The business models among young people have contributed to improving the efficiency of local economic development, creating a stable source of income, creating jobs for YUs and local people.
Comrade Hoang Tuong Vi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, said: In recent years, the Provincial Youth Union has implemented many activities to support knowledge and skills in starting a business and establishing a career for Vietnamese youth such as: Coordinating to open training courses to transfer science and technology, instructing new models and methods of production and business for rural youth; supporting the development of farm models and cooperatives; organizing tours to learn from experiences of highly effective economic models. In addition, the Provincial Youth Union also regularly coordinates with schools to organize career counseling programs, orient and arouse the desire to start a business for young people right from when they are still in school. Actively coordinating with the Bank for Social Policies to support capital for youth start-up projects. The Provincial Youth Union is also implementing a program to support breeding animals for households whose temporary houses have been removed, thereby creating motivation and livelihoods for households to escape poverty.
It can be seen that with the attention of the Youth Union at all levels, along with the will, determination and pioneering spirit of each Youth Union member at many Youth Union bases in the province, more and more economic models led by young people have emerged with high efficiency. Not only developing the family economy, the production models also create jobs for many local workers; gradually affirming the role and position of young people in the new era.
