Math teacher detained for molesting 6th grade female student

According to VietNamNet's source, Cam Xuyen District Police ( Ha Tinh ) has initiated a case, prosecuted the accused, and temporarily detained Mr. Dau Binh (born in 1976, a Math teacher at My Due Secondary School, Cam Due Commune, Cam Xuyen District) to investigate the act of indecent assault on a person under 16 years old. The above decisions have been approved by Cam Xuyen District People's Procuracy.

Accordingly, at around 8:00 p.m. on May 19, while attending extra classes in Cam Due commune, NTML (6th grade student, My Due Secondary School) was sexually abused by her math teacher, Mr. Dau Binh. The incident was reported to the authorities by L.'s family.

Upon receiving the report, Cam Xuyen District Police began investigating and determined that Mr. Binh had committed indecent acts with female student L.

The leader of the Department of Education and Training of Cam Xuyen district said: "The police have sent a notice to the school. The principal of My Due Secondary School also reported that he had received a notice from the police about the order to temporarily detain and investigate this teacher." Talking to VietNamNet, Mr. Nguyen Tran Quang, principal of My Due Secondary School, said that after the incident, the school sent teachers to visit and encourage L. Currently, the female student's health is stable.

"The police are investigating and clarifying the case. After receiving the police's conclusion, we will establish a council to handle disciplinary action according to regulations," said the leader of Cam Xuyen District People's Committee.

It is known that Mr. Dau Binh is a Math teacher, transferred to teach at My Due Secondary School from August 2022.
