After only 2 days of competition at the 32nd SEA Games, the Vietnamese Gymnastics Team has won 4 gold medals. This is quite an impressive achievement for Coach Truong Minh Sang and his team in a sport that is considered to require a lot of strength, technique and sacrifice. On the first day of competition at the 32nd SEA Games, the Gymnastics Team brought home the first gold medal in the all-around team event with athletes: Dinh Phuong Thanh, Le Thanh Tung, Dang Ngoc Xuan Thien, Van Vi Luong, Nguyen Van Khanh Phong and Trinh Hai Khang.
Entering the second day of competition, the Gymnastics team continued to compete successfully with 3 impressive gold medals. First, athlete Nguyen Van Khanh Phong excellently won the gold medal in the hanging rings event after earning 14,200 points. He defeated the world champion Carlos Yulo of the Philippines team (who only earned 14,000 points).
Immediately after that, it was Dang Ngoc Xuan Thien's turn to win the final of the men's pommel horse event with a total score of 13,450. In the horizontal bar event, Dinh Phuong Thanh continued to bring home the third gold medal for Vietnamese gymnastics on May 9 with a total score of 13,500. THAI HAI (from Phnom Penh, Cambodia)
