The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just announced decisions to inscribe 36 heritages into the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
The art of making costumes of the Black Mong people in Sa Pa, Lao Cai has been recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage.
The intangible cultural heritages included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List this time are of the following types: Traditional festivals; Social customs and beliefs; Traditional crafts; Folk knowledge; Folk performing arts. This will be an opportunity for localities to enhance the value of heritage, helping people have more motivation, "turning heritage into assets", both preserving and promoting heritage values, developing tourism products...
Some of these heritages include: Lai Vung Nem Making Craft (Dong Thap); Liem Thuan Drum Song (Ha Nam); Lai Len Dance and Singing (Ha Nam); Soong Co Singing of the San Chi people (Quang Ninh); Bong Dien Festival (Thai Binh); Muong Kho Festival (Thanh Hoa); Weaving Craft of the A Rap Group (Gia Rai) - (Kon Tum); The art of using beeswax to create patterns on fabric of the Mong people (Yen Bai); Vovinam - Viet Vo Dao (Ho Chi Minh City); The art of making costumes of the Black Mong people (Lao Cai); Forest worshiping ceremony of the Co Lao people (Ha Giang); Dried shrimp making craft (Ca Mau); Kieu Singing (Quang Binh); Linen weaving craft (Thai Binh)...
According to the Decision, the Chairman of the People's Committee at all levels where intangible cultural heritage is included in the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage this time, within the scope of his/her duties and powers, shall carry out state management in accordance with the provisions of the law on cultural heritage.
