On December 24, in Hanoi, volume 1 of the purely Vietnamese comic series called Ozon Mystery was released to readers. With a new version that is creatively invested in content and form, the series is expected to create a new mark in bringing Vietnamese comics to the world .
The book was made by a group of Vietnamese authors and artists.
Ozon Mystery is a project that has been nurtured by a group of authors including architect Tuan Anh, sports commentator Anh Quan and the TAQUA Group's team of artists for over 15 years, with the desire to bring a series of Vietnamese comics that converge the elements that make up the appeal of a comic work in the magic and supernatural genre...
Talking about the message of the series that he has worked hard to create, architect Tuan Anh shared: “We want to bring young readers experiences, images, and stories that seem to only exist in dreams. A planet with many races, a magical world, but behind that dreamy appearance, the series also reveals the dark side deep within each person. Along with that will be lessons about courage, perseverance, and belief in good things sent in the journey to save the planet Ozon of the two little princes Bono and Tuno.”
Exchange to launch a pure Vietnamese comic series called "Ozone Mystery"
The series has a standard character system, with 7 different artists working at the same time. Perhaps, this is the first series in Vietnam, by Vietnamese people, to be produced with such professionalism.
Participating in the implementation of this purely Vietnamese comic book project, commentator Anh Quan said that his childhood and that of many Vietnamese readers were associated with world-famous comic books. Now that he is a father, he also hopes that his children will grow up with memories of such works, including Vietnamese series, created by Vietnamese people.
Artist Bach Le shared that recently, many readers have supported newly released comic works because they are Vietnamese products. That is very valuable but not enough to keep readers for long. He hopes that Vietnamese comics will stay in the trust and love of everyone for a long time with quality and rich, attractive content.
Ms. Vu Thi Quynh Lien, Editor-in-Chief of Kim Dong Publishing House - the publisher of the book - said that she always supports and is willing to invest in the ideas and creativity of domestic authors, including Vietnamese comics. She believes that in the spirit of maximizing the strengths in the script and character creation, giving the book a new coat that stands out and is close to comic readers, Kim Dong Publishing House hopes to help Ozon Mystery fly higher and farther, like the desire to explore the planet Ozon, decode the mysteries and reach the dreams of the characters in the story.
According to the plan, every 3 months, a new volume will be released.
