Another film accused of having illegal "cow tongue line"

"Flight to you" is a Chinese production in 2022, consisting of 39 episodes and starring Tan Songyun, Liu Chang, Yen Tu Dong... The film is shown on Netflix, FPT Play, TV360 application and some other pirated movie sites.

The scene where the illegal "cow tongue line" appears revolves around a flight from Guangzhou (China) to Singapore. A passenger has a health problem so the chief flight attendant diverts the plane to the nearest fictional airport named Sigorn, but the captain does not accept. On the screen displaying a map attached to the seat that the chief flight attendant is observing, the illegal "cow tongue line" appears. This scene is in the first minutes of episode 30 of the show.

Illegal "cow tongue line" appears on "Flight to you"

On Netflix, the episode is still available and the illegal "cow tongue line" is still displayed. On FPT Play, the scene was initially blurred but the episode was later removed. The episode also disappeared on TV360.

A representative of FPT Play said: "The content before being released on FPT Play always ensures that it fully complies with the legal censorship process. For the movie "Flight to you" - this is a movie about love and the efforts in the careers of young people. Images that do not comply with Vietnamese regulations and laws in this movie have been censored and processed (blurred, cut out). "Before "Flight to you", a series of Chinese-produced series were discovered to have illegally inserted the "cow tongue line": "Ice and Fire", "You are my pride", "One life, one world", "Send to our warm youth"...

"Vietnamese audiences react very strongly whenever they discover a film containing the illegal "cow tongue line". They call for a boycott of these films, but they are still shown on pirated sites and foreign platforms.

"Cow tongue line" in "To our warm youth"

Netflix also had to remove the movie "Madam Secretary" from the Vietnamese region, cut scenes from the movie "To Our Warm Youth". Not only series, some movies also inserted illegal "cow tongue line" which was discovered and banned from Vietnamese theaters.

Most recently, the movie "Barbie" was banned in Vietnam. The movie "Antiquities Hunter" was discovered by the National Film Classification and Evaluation Council to have the "cow tongue line" so the Cinema Department banned it. The movie "The Little Snowman" was stopped from being shown because the "cow tongue line" was discovered to be inserted in the movie...
