Theo Hernandez is a quality rookie for Al Hilal. |
L'Equipe said the French star would receive a salary of up to 20 million euros a year in Saudi Arabia. The deal would also bring Milan a transfer fee of 30 million euros.
Hernandez's contract with Milan expires in June 2026. The Serie A club wants to sell him this summer to avoid losing him for free next summer.
Hernandez is in Paris to undergo a medical before officially signing for Al Hilal. The defender had initially hoped to continue his career in Europe, but has agreed to move to the Saudi Pro League.
Al Hilal also persisted in their pursuit of Hernandez, despite their initial offer being rejected. They eventually convinced the 27-year-old to join.
Hernandez is Al Hilal's first notable signing under new coach Simone Inzaghi. This move shows Al Hilal's ambition to build a strong squad to compete for every title next season. Hernandez will play alongside Joao Cancelo, Ruben Neves, Milinkovic-Savic and Mitrovic.
Al Hilal hope to complete the transfer of Hernandez as soon as possible, in order to register him for the remainder of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup™. The club's new player registration period will be from 27 June to 3 July.
