Competition is associated with political tasks

Acknowledging from practice, over the years, the Party Committee and commanders at all levels in the 301st Infantry Division have always clearly identified the Emulation Movement for Victory as a key political task. The movement is organized in both regular cycles (annual, quarterly) and peak periods (celebrating major holidays, anniversaries, and extraordinary tasks). The implementation of the "Lightning Speed - Victory" peak emulation periods has created a strong atmosphere, a driving force to promote the successful completion of difficult tasks and new tasks.

According to Colonel Nguyen Duc Manh, Political Commissar of the 301st Infantry Division, the unit not only focuses on competing in quantity, but also focuses on improving the quality of initiatives, improving techniques, innovating training tools, improving management models and strengthening propaganda work. At the same time, regularly encouraging officers and soldiers to "dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility" has contributed significantly to promoting the emulation movements to develop substantially.

Thanks to that, 100% of the training test content met the requirements or better, of which over 80% were good or excellent; all new soldier training companies in the Division in 2024 were excellent. Tactical exercises with live ammunition of many platoons and companies were assessed as good in technique, good in tactics, while ensuring absolute safety.

In addition, the unit maintained good combat readiness, proactively coordinated to ensure security and safety for important political events of the Party, State and Army taking place in Hanoi; conducted training on combat readiness status as planned; organized peak duty, shift duty and command duty seriously and in accordance with regulations.

In particular, the Division launched the "Lightning Speed - Determined Victory" movement with many specific activities such as proposing initiatives, improving training models and tools. Regiment 692 alone had up to 117 ideas and initiatives during the peak training period in early 2025.

Typical examples include Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Thanh Duy (Battalion 4, Regiment 692) with the initiative "B41 sighting inspection glasses"; First Lieutenant Ta Van Hieu (Battalion 6, Regiment 692) with the initiative "Automatic earth explosive briquetting device"; Senior Lieutenant, professional soldier Le Hung Manh (Logistics - Engineering Department) with the initiative "Field fuel filling device"...

With continuous efforts and endeavors, at the 2019-2024 Emulation Congress, Infantry Division 301 was honored to be awarded the First Class Fatherland Protection Medal. Regiment 692 (under Infantry Division 301) was awarded the Third Class Fatherland Protection Medal by the President in 2024.

Take results as a measure

Colonel Nguyen Duc Manh shared his experience: For each emulation movement, the Division Party Committee requires it to be closely linked to the tasks of training, combat readiness, building discipline, managing discipline and logistics - technical work. The results of the main tasks are the measure of the emulation effectiveness, creating a direct motivation to improve the quality of the implementation of central political tasks.

Along with that, the Division focuses on educating officers and soldiers about the position, role and significance of the Emulation Movement for Victory; organizing political activities, disseminating typical examples to spread positive actions. This approach creates a clear change in awareness and action, contributing to building high will and determination throughout the unit.

“The success of the Emulation Movement for Victory depends largely on the exemplary and decisive role of the commanding officers. The Party Committee and the Division Commander always promote the role of the Party Committee, political commissar, political officer and the team of presiding officers. In particular, the Party Committee and commanders at all levels always directly lead, direct and take responsibility for the quality and effectiveness of the Emulation Movement for Victory in their units; political commissars and commanders at all levels take the lead in setting an example, both organizing and directly participating, creating a strong spread,” emphasized Colonel Nguyen Duc Manh.

To continue promoting combat strength, building discipline, and managing discipline through the Emulation movement to win, in the coming time, the Division's leaders will direct: Improving the quality of training; increasing investment in equipment, training grounds, and training grounds; taking advantage of available learning and training conditions; training to improve the capacity of training officers and commanders at all levels... In particular, the Division will improve the effectiveness of mass mobilization activities, so that the Emulation movement to win is not only an internal matter of the unit but also spreads to the local people, contributing to building a solid "people's heart position". Thereby, the 301st Infantry Division will continue to bring the Emulation movement to a new level, so that the unit is worthy of being the leading flag in the armed forces of the capital Hanoi.
