Hanoi 10th grade exam: Strict but not stressful

(NLDO) - Nearly 103,000 Hanoi students entered the first exam of the public 10th grade exam, competing for about 78,400 places.

On the morning of June 7, candidates took the literature exam, lasting 120 minutes. They were called into the exam room at 7:15 and started working from 8:00. According to the new program, for the first time, the exam will not use materials from textbooks, so students will no longer be able to guess or memorize.

Before the literature exam - the first subject of the 10th grade entrance exam, the inspection team of the Hanoi City Examination and Admissions Steering Committee led by Mr. Tran The Cuong, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee, Director of the Departmentof Education and Training - inspected the organization of the exam and encouraged the invigilators and candidates at the exam site of Ngo Si Lien Secondary School (Hoan Kiem District).

The spirit that the City's Examination and Admissions Steering Committee thoroughly conveys to the team of exam supervisors is to ensure seriousness but not cause stress, while creating the most favorable conditions for candidates to take the exam.

Director of Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong wishes candidates good luck on their exams.

Directly checking the examination room, office, test storage room, and many other items at the examination site, Mr. Tran The Cuong also encouraged candidates to pay attention to maintaining their health, staying calm and confident to do well on the exam.

Mr. Tran The Cuong led the inspection of the exam organization on the morning of June 7.

This year is the first year that the 10th grade entrance exam in Hanoi is conducted according to the 2018 General Education Program, with many new points in the structure of the 3-subject exam format, focusing on assessing capacity. This year, the whole city has 201 exam sites with more than 4,400 exam rooms; nearly 15,000 cadres, teachers and employees have been mobilized to participate in exam supervision.
