In the joyful atmosphere to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the "Golden Bell of Traditional Opera" Contest - a journey to honor traditional opera and preserve the quintessence of reformed opera - Ho Chi Minh City Television in collaboration with the Vietnam Reformed Opera Theater organized the art program "Alluvial Sound" season 3 in Hanoi on the evening of June 10.
This is not only a performance, but also an emotional reunion between Northern Cai Luong artists who have left a strong impression at "Chuong Vang Vong Co" through the ages, with hearts beating together because of their love for the traditional art form.
Bridge between two regions – The breath of reformed opera from the North echoes to the South
For audiences who love Cai Luong, this is a program recorded and broadcast by HTV, to spread the support for the 20th "Golden Bell of Cai Luong" contest, so this is a performance that audiences across the country are looking forward to.
People's Artist Trieu Trung Kien - Director of the Vietnam Cai Luong Theater - said that the program "Am thanh phu sa" season 3 is a rare opportunity to enjoy again the excerpts and profound vọng cổ songs resounding from the very voices of the Northern cải lương singers who have shined in the "Chuong vang Vọng cổ" contest of Ho Chi Minh City Television for the past 19 years.
Meritorious Artist Doan Hoa Mai
Artists such as Meritorious Artist Doan Hoa Mai, Meritorious Artist Minh Ly, Artist Van Dang, Artist Minh Hai, Artist Ninh Thi Nhu Quynh, Artist Hai Yen, Artist Minh Nguyet, Artist Hong Gam... will together bring a performance full of emotions, imbued with the identity of Northern Cai Luong, while demonstrating the sustainable continuity of a generation of artists deeply attached to traditional theater.
In particular, the appearance of People's Artist Ho Ngoc Trinh - from Long An Cai Luong Troupe - with her rustic, generous performance style imbued with the Southern spirit, is like an artistic bridge connecting the two regions. The performance "My hometown river" (poem: Hoai Vu, music: Truong Quang Luc, ancient lyrics: Huyen Nhung) will be performed by Ho Ngoc Trinh and artist Nguyen Van Dang.
Artist Nguyen Van Dang won the Bronze Bell Award in 2012.
In addition, not only is it a night of exchange, "Am thanh phu sa" season 3 also invests in many performances that are elaborately staged, carefully prepared in both content and form such as: Opening Cai Luong song: "Cai Luong cau cuong xuan dan toan" - performed by the collective artists of the Vietnam Cai Luong Theater, promising to bring an exciting, fresh atmosphere, opening a night of rich identity; "Hoa mua trang" (composed by Ngu Binh) - performed by Meritorious Artists Doan Hoa Mai and Hong Gam - evoking the image of youth and the rustic beauty of a highland girl; Ca canh "Thai Hau Duong Van Nga" (author Truc Duong, adapted from Cai Luong: Chi Lang - Hoa Phuong) - through the performance of Do Thi Yen, recreating the temperament and deep inner self of a historical figure; The song "Homeland" (poem: Do Trung Quan, lyrics: Giap Van Thach, ancient lyrics: Thanh Thanh Hien) - performed by Nhu Quynh and Minh Nguyet - is a blend of modern and traditional music , like a lullaby from the motherland.
In particular, the excerpt from the play "Thuong Thien Thanh Mau" (author: MSc. Le The Song - MSc. Xuan Hong, director: People's Artist Tong Toan Thang - PhD., People's Artist Trieu Trung Kien) - with the participation of Meritorious Artist Nguyen Thi Ly (as Giang Tien), Nguyen Minh Hai (as Dao Lang), and a group of circus and reformed opera artists in the roles of the masses - creates a brilliant combination of mythological elements, reformed opera and circus art.
The performance support of the Vietnam Circus Federation not only increases visual appeal but also affirms the future approach to reformed art - both preserving traditional roots and opening up innovation to be closer to modern life.
Preserving and fueling a 20-year journey
