At the end of the session on November 25, VN-Index stopped at 1,660.36 points, down nearly 8 points, while HNX-Index lost 4 points, to 257 points.
Red dominated the financial stocks group when SSI decreased by 4.5%, many other codes such as SHS, EIB, VND, MBS, ABB decreased by 3 - 4%. A few stocks remained green such as HDB, LPB, VFS. The real estate group also mainly decreased with VRE, DIG, IDC, VHM, CEO, NVL, PDR, KHG all losing points, only a few codes such as VIC, KBC, VPI went against the trend.
On the contrary, the industrial goods group performed positively with GEE, GEX, BMP, PAC, and SJG increasing; of which GEE and PAC increased to the ceiling. VJC also recorded purple, maintaining the upward momentum from the beginning of the session.
Cash flow improved in the afternoon session, helping the HOSE trading value increase by more than 50% compared to the previous session, while the HNX trading value also doubled. The total trading value of the entire market reached nearly 30,000 billion VND, showing that the bottom-fishing force is getting stronger.
Foreign investors still put pressure on the general market when they net sold about 400 billion VND, much lower than the level of thousands of billion VND at the beginning of the week.
On HOSE, foreign investors net sold 356 billion VND, SSI led with 192 billion VND, VIC and VHM were sold 136 billion VND and 123 billion VND respectively. On HNX, foreign investors net bought 12 billion VND, while UPCOM net sold 55 billion VND.
Today’s decline shows that the market is still in a state of strong differentiation. Selling pressure is concentrated on financial and real estate stocks, while codes such as VJC, GEE, PAC are sought after.
Cash flow improved, bottom-fishing buying power increased in the afternoon session, but foreign investors still maintained net selling pressure, reminding that the recovery is not uniform. Analysts said that investors need to consider opportunities and risks, choose stocks with stable cash flow, clear projects and business results. The stock market developments today also reflect the market trend moving into a selective adjustment phase, opening up opportunities for cautious investment strategies, focusing on quality stocks and the ability to generate sustainable profits.
