Signing ceremony of tourism development cooperation between Vietnam Tourism Association and Korea Tourism Organization in Vietnam.
The signed memorandum of understanding aims to promote the exchange of visitors and rapidly increase the number of visitors between the two countries.
Accordingly, the two sides agreed to share information related to tourism policies, tourism market trends, tourism statistics, etc. and promote exchanges between tourism businesses on both sides.
KTO commits to supporting VITA member businesses to build and promote Korean tourism programs; strive to improve the quality of Korean tourism programs and ensure the rights of Vietnamese tourists when coming to Korea; and encourage Vietnamese tourism businesses to improve the quality of services for Korean tourists coming to Vietnam.
In addition, the two sides will coordinate to organize tourism promotion activities such as: tourism fairs, seminars, famtours...

Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association Vu The Binh said that the cooperation agreement between the two sides is a premise for building highly professional Vietnam - Korea tourism programs, from researching customer needs, building products, advertising, consulting for tourists, and organizing tours between the two countries.
Speaking at the ceremony, Head of the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) Representative Office in Vietnam Lee Jae Hoon said that KTO is committed to actively participating in tourism promotion fairs and seminars organized by the two agencies, contributing to improving the quality of Korean tourism products and better serving the needs of Vietnamese tourists.
By the end of September, it is expected that 310,000 Vietnamese people will visit Korea, with an expected recovery rate of about 75% compared to 2019. On the other hand, Korea is Vietnam's largest international tourist market with about 2.57 million Koreans visiting Vietnam since the beginning of the year.
Immediately after the signing ceremony, VITA and KTO will coordinate to implement a number of activities: Establish a delegation to survey new tourism products in Jeonnam, Jeonbuk, Korea and KTO will participate in introducing Korean tourism at the VITM Can Tho Fair 2023.
