To arouse and foster love for the homeland and country for teenagers and children, the Youth Unions in the whole province have organized many activities such as the contest "We tell stories of Uncle Ho", "When drinking water, remember its source", "Repaying gratitude", "Journey to red addresses", "Reading and following the Youth Union newspaper", "Young people do small things"; taking on the construction of works, young people's work such as taking care of flower gardens, ornamental plants, traditional medicine gardens...

The team members and children participated in many meaningful activities such as visiting, encouraging, caring for, and giving gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, families with meritorious services to the revolution; cleaning martyrs' cemeteries; buying toothpicks and pens to support the blind and disabled; and supporting people affected by natural disasters and floods. Each team registered to take care of at least one family with meritorious services to the revolution.

Through movements and activities toeducate revolutionary ideals, ethics, lifestyle, foster patriotism, national pride, educate compassion and love for humanity for children.

To encourage students' learning spirit, the Unions regularly launch learning competition movements such as "Good score", "Clean notebooks, beautiful writing", "Teacher-student beauty"; intellectual playgrounds such as Golden Bell, Road to Olympia, online math solutions, online English competitions...; effectively implement learning competition forms such as Good study hours, Good study weeks, Good study months...

The Unions also build libraries, donate books, and help students in difficult circumstances, thereby encouraging children to love reading and learning, developing proactive and creative learning methods, and building a sense of self-study, independence, and honesty in exams.

The campaigns "For the green homeland", "My school is green - clean - beautiful", "Green Sunday"... have been widely deployed, contributing to mobilizing and encouraging young team members and children to actively participate in environmental protection activities, keeping schools, village roads and alleys clean...

Implementing the teaching of "Good solidarity, good discipline", the Youth Unions launched the emulation movement "Building friendly schools, active students", organized extracurricular activities "Building beautiful friendships - saying no to school violence", propagated the Road Traffic Law, mobilized children to participate in environmental protection, preventing and combating plastic waste, planting more trees...

100% of the Youth Unions organized the "Healthy Children - Stepping Up to the Youth Union" Festival with many rich and useful activities such as admitting outstanding members; giving gifts to students in difficult circumstances; launching youth projects; implementing the "Exchange Trash for Trees" program and presenting the "Green House" model for sorting waste at the source... Through these activities, they contributed to educating self-awareness and discipline, helping children practice positive and healthy lifestyles.

To create an environment for children to practice the teaching of "Maintaining good hygiene", the Youth Union of districts and cities organizes propaganda activities, instructs on hand washing skills with soap, forms habits of maintaining personal hygiene for team members and children; organizes planting and care of flower beds, ornamental plants, creates green - clean - beautiful campuses in schools; builds models of "Green classrooms", "Friendly toilets", "Smart trash cans"... From there, children know how to maintain personal hygiene, clean schools, houses, public places, dress neatly, and throw trash in the right place.

“Modesty, honesty, and courage” are good qualities that every person should have. Right from when they are still in school, moral education for children is an important task, contributing to the formation of personality and guiding a good lifestyle for them when they grow up.

In recent years, the Provincial Youth Union has implemented the flag-raising model of "A beautiful story, a shining example, a good book every week"; organized extracurricular activities; organized the forum "Building a culture of behavior in schools"... to share simple stories about teacher-student relationships, friendship; educated students about modesty, courage, honesty, useful living, responsibility for themselves and their families as Uncle Ho taught.

Nguyen Phuong Vy, class 4A6, Dong Tam Primary School (Vinh Yen) said: “Through the teacher's lectures, books, good stories written about Uncle Ho and activities organized by the school's Youth Union, I understand more about Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. I always admire and thank Uncle Ho for dedicating his whole life to the Fatherland and the country, so that today we can live happily in peace and freedom. I always tell myself that I will try harder in studying and training to be worthy of being a good child, good student, and good grandchild of Uncle Ho”.

The implementation of the Movement "Vietnamese Children compete to follow Uncle Ho's 5 teachings" has created a good environment for young Pioneers and children in the province to compete in studying, practicing ethics, manners, cultural lifestyle, health training and social practice skills, helping them develop comprehensively in "Virtue - Intelligence - Body - Beauty". Through the movement, it contributes to improving the quality of Team activities, building a strong and comprehensive Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team organization.
