At noon on March 25, 4 employees were pulling telecommunication cables in Lien Phuong Street, Phu Huu Ward, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City. In front of house number 600, one employee climbed up an electric pole to thread the cable.

Suddenly there was a loud explosion, the employee's clothes caught fire. The victim was stuck to the electric pole, unconscious. When people discovered the incident, they shouted and called the rescue team and the 115 Emergency Center.

The ambulance arrived at the scene to provide first aid and found the victim with severe burns to his face and many other parts of his body, so they transferred the victim to Cho Ray Hospital in critical condition.

People approached to bring the victim to the ground and transfer him to the hospital for emergency care.

Phu Huu Ward Police in coordination with Thu Duc City Local Team and Ho Chi Minh City Police examined the scene to investigate the cause. At the scene, many rolls of telecommunication cables were still scattered on the road, and some of the electric cables were burnt to a crisp on the electric poles.
