Agree on proposal to allow off-road racing at Dac Loc reservoir

Accordingly, the delegation conducted a field inspection and discussed with the organizing unit about some contents surrounding the "Victory Challenge 2025 Sports and Off-Road Racing Tournament". The tournament is coordinated by Khanh Hoa Newspaper and Ky Nguyen Group Joint Stock Company and is expected to be held at the Dac Loc reservoir area. The tournament has about 80 racing teams from sports and off-road car clubs across the country.

Representatives of relevant parties inspected the field and discussed the plan to organize the Victory Challenge 2025 Sports and Off-Road Racing at Dac Loc Lake.

According to the organizer, the tournament will not build race tracks around the safety corridor of the reservoir and dam surface, will not affect the safety system of the dam, will not organize races under the lake, and will not pollute the Dac Loc reservoir.

The participating vehicles are all trucks with a load capacity of less than 2 tons, focusing on racing on available trails, shallow dirt roads and naturally available swamps in the Dac Loc reservoir area. There is a leveling of some positions on the race track upstream of the reservoir to ensure safety for the race but not affect the safety of the reservoir.

At the meeting, after discussion, the representative of the Department of Agriculture and Environment agreed to advise the Provincial People's Committee to allow the organizing unit to organize the "Victory Challenge 2025 Sports and Off-Road Racing" at the Dac Loc reservoir area. In particular, the organizing unit is requested to closely coordinate with the reservoir management unit to conduct a field survey and plan the arrangement of the tournament areas to ensure absolute safety for the Dac Loc reservoir. Pay attention to cleaning, ensuring hygiene and landscape during the tournament. Ensure the restoration to the original condition, in case of damage to items belonging to the Dac Loc reservoir project (if any), the tournament organizing committee is responsible for repairing and ensuring compliance with the requirements of the management unit.

Dac Loc Reservoir is located in Dac Loc village, Vinh Phuong commune, Nha Trang city. The lake has a capacity of nearly 1.2 million ^m3 of water. Besides the function of irrigation, flood control to protect the downstream area, the lake also has beautiful scenery, convenient transportation, only about 10km from the center of Nha Trang city.
