The conference was chaired by comrade Do Thanh Binh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee; comrade Lam Van Man, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the 15th term of Soc Trang province; comrade Dong Van Thanh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Hau Giang province.
The conference listened to comrade Le Tan Thu, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Organization Committee of the Can Tho City Party Committee, present the personnel plans of the Executive Committee of the Can Tho City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 and 2025-2030 terms after the merger; orientations for assigning the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee to take on leadership positions of agencies, units and localities for the 2020-2025 and 2025-2030 terms; report on the personnel plan of the Can Tho City Party Committee's Inspection Committee for the 2020-2025 and 2025-2030 terms after the merger; report on the expected personnel positions of Head of the National Assembly Delegation, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the 15th tenure; Chairman and Vice Chairman of the City People's Council for the 2021-2026 term after the merger.
Members of the Standing Committee of Can Tho City Party Committee, Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee and Soc Trang Provincial Party Committee discussed and agreed on relevant contents regarding personnel work of Can Tho City after the merger.
Speaking at the conference, comrade Do Thanh Binh emphasized that this is step 3 in the 3-step process according to Conclusion No. 150-KL/TW dated April 14, 2025 of the Politburo guiding the development of personnel plans for provincial-level Party committees subject to consolidation, merger and newly established commune-level Party committees.
Accordingly, the results of the conference on the personnel plan for the Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, the Inspection Committee of the City Party Committee for the 2020-2025, 2025-2030 term and the orientation for assigning members of the Executive Committee, members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to take on leadership positions of affiliated agencies and units for the 2020-2025, 2025-2030 term of Can Tho City after this merger and consolidation will complete the report to submit to the Politburo and the Secretariat for consideration and appointment of personnel according to regulations.
