Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Decision No. 272/QD-TTg dated March 21, 2023 re-appointing Mr. Le Cong Thanh to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment .

The reappointment term is from April 12, 2023.

* Previously, on April 12, 2018, the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 399/QD-TTg appointing Mr. Le Cong Thanh, Acting Director General of the General Department of Hydrometeorology, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment.

Deputy Minister Le Cong Thanh directs and handles work in specialized fields: Hydrometeorology, water resources, climate change, remote sensing; work in: Party, mass organizations, press, media, flood and storm prevention and control.

Directly in charge of: Party - Mass Organization Office; Department of International Cooperation; General Department of Hydrometeorology; Department of Water Resources Management; Department of Climate Change; National Remote Sensing Department; Office of the National Committee on Climate Change; Standing Office of the Vietnam Mekong River Commission; Institute of Hydrometeorology and Climate Change; Institute of Water Resources Science; National Center for Water Resources Planning and Investigation; Natural Resources and Environment Newspaper; Natural Resources and Environment Magazine; Center for Natural Resources and Environment Communication.

Monitoring provinces in the Northwest and Northeast regions, including: Hoa Binh, Son La, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Phu Tho, Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Thai Nguyen, Lang Son, Bac Giang and Quang Ninh.
