According to the Decision, the investor implementing the project is Sun Phu Quoc Airways Limited Liability Company. This is a company belonging toSun Group Corporation, the project name is “Sun PhuQuoc Airways - SPA”.
According to the approved policy, it is expected that by 2030, SPA will have a total fleet of 31 aircraft, with a total project investment capital of VND 2,500 billion (equivalent to about USD 98.81 million).
It is expected that in the fourth quarter of 2025, SPA will officially operate the first flights, connecting Phu Quoc with key economic and tourism centers at home and abroad.

The project's goal is to establish a new airline with the main business model of transporting passengers by commercial air, combined with the exploitation of the charter model to serve tourists traveling to tourist and business centers of Vietnam and the world , typically famous tourist islands and bustling financial and commercial centers.
In particular, SPA was opened with the mission of bringing tourists from all over the world to Phu Quoc Island. Having another airline to the island will also create conditions for Vietnamese people to come to Phu Quoc more easily and conveniently.

The Prime Minister's official approval of the investment policy for Sun PhuQuoc Airways is an important milestone for the Vietnamese aviation industry and the development of Phu Quoc tourism. Because together with other airlines in the market, Sun PhuQuoc Airways will contribute a new bridge, bringing Phu Quoc - the second most beautiful island in the world after Maldives - closer to domestic and international tourists.
Along with Sun PhuQuoc Airways, Sun Group is still operating the high-end general airline Sun Air, providing personalized and specialized private jet services for luxury customers.
