On May 20, online travel platform Agoda announced a list of ideal Asian destinations for those who love “slow travel”. Nha Trang proudly leads the list of destinations in Vietnam as a place where visitors can enjoy a leisurely pace of life, immerse themselves in the space with gentle sunlight and clear blue sea water on white sand beaches.

In contrast to quick discovery trips where tourists try to fill their schedules with countless destinations, some tourists look for extended vacations to immerse themselves in the local lifestyle and feel the beauty of the destination.

“Slow travel” is an ideal opportunity for visitors to not only admire but also truly immerse themselves in the culture, enjoy unique cuisine and connect with local people to the fullest.

Based on Agoda data collected from nine markets in Asia, Rayong (Thailand) is the destination with the longest stay, leading the list of ideal places to slow down and enjoy life. Other prominent names include Kalegowa (Indonesia), Seoul (South Korea), Tokyo (Japan), Boracay Island (Philippines), Taipei (Taiwan-China), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and Chennai (India).

In Vietnam, Nha Trang, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City are the top 3 destinations for tourists who want to enjoy a long vacation, slowly feeling every moment.

Regarding foreign tourist destinations, Chiang Mai (Thailand) is a favorite choice of Vietnamese tourists for a peaceful and profound experience.

1. Rayong, Thailand
