Located in Thuan Quy commune, Ham Thuan Nam district, Binh Thuan province, Bien Que Huong community tourism area is not only an attractive destination with beautiful natural landscapes but also stands out with its unique architectural work: the operating and commercial service block is assembled from 13 recycled containers.
This work was honored to receive the C prize at the Contest for composing and promoting literary, artistic and journalistic works on the theme "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" for the period 2021-2025, organized by the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission on the evening of May 19.
Creative architecture from container shells
With a floor area of 850 m² on a land area of more than 2 hectares, the project uses 13 used containers, taken advantage of from industrial park warehouses and seaports.
The use of super-durable steel materials helps the project withstand harsh coastal weather conditions, while reducing construction costs because it does not require traditional foundation, column, beam, and floor systems.
In particular, the project has the ability to recover up to 90% of its basic materials, allowing for re-assembly at another location when necessary.
Developing green tourism in harmony with nature is a trend that many tourism businesses are aiming for.
According to Architect Nguyen Thanh Hai, the project's designer, the use of containers not only brings economic efficiency but also conveys a message about environmental protection and reducing CO₂ emissions.
Master, Architect Nguyen Thanh Hai was honored at the contest of composing and promoting literary, artistic and journalistic works on the theme "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" with the project at Homeland Sea.
The project is assessed to have usage value equal to that of a Grade I office building, ensuring fire safety, and at the same time having high artistic symbolism.
Where tourism, art and community converge
The project has been recognized by the Vietnam Record Organization as "The largest total area of commercial service and management building crafted from many container modules, with complete functions and the most artistic architectural layout in the tourist area".
In addition, the tourist area also creates jobs for more than 370 local workers and supports OCOP products of Ham Thuan Nam district and Phan Thiet city, contributing to promoting the local economy.
Container shells are utilized and creatively transformed into working blocks.
Sea Que Huong not only attracts tourists by its unique architecture but also by its cool green space with more than 50 types of trees, grass, and flowers. The tourist area can serve over 1,000 people at the same time, suitable for camping, team building, and school tourism activities.
With a convenient location, just over 2 hours away from Ho Chi Minh City, this place promises to be an ideal destination for all types of tourists.
