Accompanying the Prime Minister were members of the Party Central Committee: Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Secretary of the City Party Committee , Chairman of the People's Council of Hue City Le Truong Luu, Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee Le Ngoc Quang, leaders of ministries, branches, central and local agencies.
* At the memorial site of late General Secretary Le Duan (Trieu Phong commune, Quang Tri province), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the delegation offered incense and flowers, visited the booths displaying images, documents, and artifacts about the life and career of comrade Le Duan, respectfully commemorating the outstanding leader of our Party, an excellent student of President Ho Chi Minh , and an outstanding son of his homeland Quang Tri.
General Secretary Le Duan (1907 - 1986), real name Le Van Nhuan, was born on April 7, 1907 in Bich La Dong village, Trieu Dong commune, Trieu Phong district (now Trieu Phong commune), Quang Tri province.
He had 60 years of revolutionary activities, 26 consecutive years in the position of First Secretary and General Secretary of the Party Central Committee. Comrade Le Duan's entire life and career contributed to the cause of national liberation, national unification, and the building of socialism and the development of Vietnam. Comrade Le Duan's great contributions and achievements have made the Vietnamese Fatherland famous and will last forever in the glorious and heroic history of the nation.
* At the General Nguyen Chi Thanh Museum (Thuan Hoa Ward, Hue City), the Prime Minister and the delegation offered incense and flowers, visited the exhibition booths displaying images, documents, and artifacts about the life and career of the General; respectfully paying tribute to the outstanding politician and military man of the Party and the army, an excellent student of President Ho Chi Minh, and an outstanding son of his hometown Hue.
General Nguyen Chi Thanh (1914 - 1967), real name Nguyen Vinh, was born on January 1, 1914 in Niem Pho village, Quang Dien district, Thua Thien province (now Hue city). With more than 30 years of dedication to the Party and the people, he was entrusted with many important responsibilities of the Party, State and army.
In any position, Comrade Nguyen Chi Thanh always demonstrated his political mettle and strategic vision, excellently completed assigned tasks, and made great contributions to the revolutionary cause. The name and career of the General are closely associated with the victory of the Vietnamese revolution and the maturity of the Vietnam People's Army in the resistance war against France and the early stages of the resistance war against the US, building socialism./.
