Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh arrives in Kuala Lumpur, begins visit to Malaysia and attends ASEAN Summit

Welcoming Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife along with the Vietnamese delegation at Kuala Lumpur International Airport on the Malaysian side were Minister of National Solidarity Aaron Ago Dagang - Minister accompanying the Prime Minister; Malaysian Ambassador to Vietnam Dato' Tan Yang Thai; Deputy Director of the Department of Protocol, Ministry of Foreign Affairs ; Representative of the Prime Minister's Office; Liaison officer of the Prime Minister and his wife. On the Vietnamese side were Vietnamese Ambassador to Malaysia Dinh Ngoc Linh; staff of the Embassy and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Malaysia.

During this working trip, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will attend conferences such as: 46th ASEAN Summit; 2nd ASEAN - Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit; ASEAN - GCC - China Summit. At the same time, the Prime Minister will also have many other important bilateral and multilateral activities; attend many related forums and conferences.

During his official visit to Malaysia, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will hold talks and meetings with senior leaders of the host country such as the Prime Minister, the President of the Senate, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Malaysia. The two sides will discuss and agree on major orientations and specific measures to implement, promote and deepen the newly established Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries.

The visit affirms Vietnam's consistent policy of always attaching importance to relations with neighboring countries and ASEAN, including Malaysia.

The visit took place on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Vietnam's accession to ASEAN, marking the beginning of the regional and international integration process, demonstrating Vietnam's strong support for Malaysia in its capacity as ASEAN Chair 2025 and its determination to work with Malaysia and ASEAN countries to build a "Sustainable and Inclusive" ASEAN Community, united, strong, and consolidating ASEAN's central role in peace and stability in the region.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's working trip also demonstrates Vietnam's proactive and active participation in multilateral organizations, mechanisms and forums, contributing ideas, participating in common activities and fulfilling responsibilities for the goals of peace, stability, cooperation and development of each country, in the region and in the world./.
