Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife, along with a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, will pay official visits to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, attend the 8th Future Investment Initiative Conference, and visit and work in Saudi Arabia from October 27 to November 1.

On October 26, according to the announcement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife along with a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation will pay an official visit to the UAE and Qatar, attend the 8th Future Investment Initiative Conference and visit and work in Saudi Arabia from October 27 to November 1.

Vietnam and the UAE established diplomatic relations on August 1, 1993. Vietnam - UAE trade turnover in recent years has always reached about 5 billion USD, of which the turnover in 2023 reached 4.7 billion USD, an increase of 6.8% compared to 2022.

As of June 2024, the UAE has 41 direct investment projects in Vietnam with a total registered capital of 71.6 million USD.

For Qatar, the two countries established diplomatic relations on February 8, 1993. Regarding trade, in the period 2019 - 2023, the total two-way trade exchange will average 400 million USD per year. Two-way trade turnover in 2023 will reach 497 million USD, an increase of 32% compared to 2022, of which Vietnam exported 211.6 million USD to Qatar.

Vietnam mainly imports from Qatar liquefied petroleum gas products, raw plastics, chemicals, fertilizers, etc. and mainly exports seafood, electric wires and cables, wood products, rattan and bamboo products, ceramics, vegetables, fruits, electronics, etc.

Relations between Vietnam and Saudi Arabia have developed positively. The two sides regularly exchange delegations at all levels, coordinate and support each other at international forums.

In 2023, bilateral trade turnover will reach nearly 2.7 billion USD. Vietnam's main exports to Saudi Arabia include phones of all kinds and components, textiles, wood and wood products, cashew nuts, rice, machinery, equipment, other spare parts, computers, electronic products and components, chemical products, vegetables and fruits, etc.

Vietnam imports major products such as raw plastics, chemicals, liquefied petroleum gas, animal feed and raw materials, other base metals, rubber, ores and other minerals...

Regarding investment and development cooperation, as of June this year, Saudi Arabia had 8 investment projects worth 8.57 million USD in Vietnam. The Saudi Arabian Development Fund has been providing preferential loans to 12 projects with a total value of more than 164.10 million USD.
