Vietnam is one of the Asian countries that imports a lot of high-quality food from Australia. More than 80% of Vietnam's wheat flour is imported from Australia. Many other agricultural products from the two countries are also exchanged.
This is Mr. Anthony Albanese's first official visit to Vietnam since taking office and just 2 months after the State visit of the Governor-General of Australia, demonstrating Australia's importance in relations with Vietnam.
