Outdoor film screening at Cine Park (organized by Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee in coordination with Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports and other organizations) is one of the important activities, along with other satellite activities, forming the ecosystem of Ho Chi Minh City International Film Festival 2024 (HIFF). The film screening was attended by departments, agencies, and sectors and especially attracted the attention of many people in Ho Chi Minh City.
The stage held the opening ceremony of the outdoor film screening at Saigon Riverside Park.

The event starts at 5pm, with a performance and exchange with the Song Lang film crew directed by Leon Quang Le; followed by a film screening at around 8pm.
People's Artist Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, said that this film screening activity evokes memories of watching mobile films in the 1980s and 1990s - unforgettable memories in the hearts of audiences of many generations.
Outdoor movie screening activities choose Saigon riverside park with extremely large, airy space, which can be divided into smaller functional areas to serve the needs of eating, taking photos, and other entertainment besides watching movies.

Besides the main location of Saigon River Park, the second location for outdoor movie screenings is on Nguyen Hue Walking Street (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City). This place also has a large LED screen, invested in equipment to bring the best audio-visual experience to the audience.
Showtimes at 2 outdoor movie venues (from April 7 to April 12):
- At Saigon Riverside Park: from 7pm to 10pm.
- At Nguyen Hue walking street: from 18:30 to 22:00.

The first Ho Chi Minh City International Film Festival opened on April 6. - April 11: meeting with actress Truong Ngoc Anh, director Vo Thanh Hoa; screening of films Academy of Fairy Tales and Buffalo Wool Season .
- April 12: exchange with Meritorious Artist Le Thien, Meritorious Artist Manh Dung, Meritorious Artist Phi Tu with the theme "Southern artists in the North", actress Maya Tran; screening of the film Wild Field .
