Promoting press cooperation between Vietnam and Korea in the AI ​​era

The two sides had in-depth discussions on digital content development strategies, digital transformation in journalism as well as the role of journalism in orienting public opinion and improving information quality in the AI ​​era.

From November 10-14, a delegation of the Vietnam Journalists Association led by Mr. Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, visited and worked in Korea at the invitation of the Journalists Association of Korea (JAK).

The working trip took place in the context of the Vietnam-Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership developing strongly in many fields, including media and press cooperation. This is considered an important occasion to enhance professional exchanges, share experiences and promote cooperation between the two major professional organizations of the press of the two countries.

During his stay in Korea, the delegation had working sessions with many leading press agencies such as MBC Television, Hankook Ilbo newspaper and the Korean Press Association.

Here, the two sides had in-depth discussions on operating models, digital content development strategies, digital transformation in journalism as well as the role of journalism in guiding public opinion and improving the quality of information in the technology era led by artificial intelligence (AI).

According to Mr. Le Quoc Minh, direct access to modern journalism trends, application of advanced technology and news production processes of developed journalism like Korea is a valuable opportunity for Vietnamese journalists to learn, innovate their journalistic thinking and improve their professional capacity, contributing to building a professional, humane and modern journalism.

The delegation also worked with the Korean Journalists Association to review and reorient cooperation activities in the coming time. The two sides agreed to continue promoting the exchange of journalist delegations, organizing professional exchange programs, seminars and training cooperation, especially in the fields of digital transformation, multi-platform journalism and professional ethics in the new media environment.

In addition to official working activities, the delegation of the Vietnam Journalists Association also visited a number of regional media agencies, learning about the development model of converged newsrooms, data centers and information trend analysis systems that Korean press corporations are deploying.

The working trip of the Vietnam Journalists Association in Korea contributes to strengthening the friendly cooperative relationship between the press circles of the two countries, while opening up opportunities for deeper cooperation in the context of global journalism changing strongly under the impact of AI and big data technology.

The visit not only helps to enhance mutual understanding but also creates a foundation for building practical cooperation programs, aiming to improve the quality of information products for Vietnamese press in the digital age, meeting the public's demand for fast, accurate and humane information.

The cooperative relationship between the Vietnam Journalists Association (VJA) and the Journalists Association of Korea (JAK) has been maintained and developed strongly for more than 32 years, since 1993.

Every year, the two Associations regularly organize programs to exchange journalist delegations, exchange expertise, and promote connections and information exchange between press agencies of the two countries./.
